This is the process of a cat puppet made for a devised theatre, children's puppet show. Each rehearsal with my group helped inform the requirments of the puppets performance; therefore, mechanics. For the neck I used a drain rod, and for movement, the tail used a spring. The body required pattern cutting and dying. Paws are needle felted, while the face is delicately detailed with pieces of faux fur and UHU. Lastly the eyes are painted wooden balls with varnish.
