I had a day to create concept illustrations for Sabrina Hamilton's lighting workshop. The brief entailed rough 18th century costumes for bunraku puppets. I collaborated with Mabel Westwood to ensure the final outcome of the characters matched her sculpted faces.

Although I could experiment with the shape and style of garment, the fabric had been chosen to create challenges for the lighting designer - Jean-Pierre's coat needed to blend in with the black backdrop.
